Antonio Aguilar was called El Charro de México (“Mexico’s Cowboy”) for the way he brought traditional Mexican equestrianism to worldwide popularity. But that's not all he gave the world. Along with his wife Flor Silvestre, Antonio Aguilar was a superstar of mid-20th North America, starring in films, racking up hit songs, and making sure Mexican culture made an impact in the entertainment business.  

It's a tradition his family has carried on. His son, Pepe Aguilar, became the voice of a new generation of Mexican music and an icon in the Latin American music industry.
